Pope Francis has said “Joy springs from a grateful heart” – and gratitude is what stewardship is all about! Gratitude, joy and stewardship go hand‐in‐hand! Joy is something that can last forever and it is directly related to the amount of our lives that we turn over to Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:16‐18 encapsulates this year’s theme perfectly:
“Always be joyful; pray constantly; and for all things give thanks; this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
Because of the COVID‐19 restrictions that are in place, we did not conduct our Annual Stewardship Renewal in the usual way this year. Like most everything else, many aspects were done virtually. A big word of thanks to the Stewardship Council for thinking outside the box for this year's Renewal!
Instead of the usual renewal materials, we sent all parishioners a stewardship-themed newsletter in November 2020.
We had two Witness Talk Weekends in November with inspiring stories of fellow parishioners and how they try to more fully live out their Catholic Faith – and a life of Stewardship.
And, instead of commitment Sunday, we ask everyone to prayerfully reflect on the areas of PRAYER, SERVICE and SHARING in their own lives and make a personal commitment to God for the coming year.
