Mission Trip 2023 Save the Date & Info Night!

Please join us for a Mission Trip Info Night, January 24th at 7pm in the St Catherine Hall. Learn about the Mission Trip and have your questions answered. Mission Trip 2023 is scheduled for the last week of July (Monday through Saturday, July 24-29). Last year, 50 teens and chaperones enjoyed an exhilarating week of faith, fellowship, and service to the local community. Everyone had a wonderful time and rated the experience 4.8/5.0 “Amazing” in the feedback survey!

(CLICK HERE to check out the video of the 2022 Mission Trip!)

Last summer, teams completed projects including washing cars, landscaping, visiting the elderly, painting, building beds for families in need, and constructing outdoor bookcases for inner city kids, among others. Every day we shared meals (but slept at home) and the comradery that comes from shared faith and acts of service.

There was also lots of music, dancing, and… beachballs? Yup!

Come to Info Night to learn more and to register your interest.

Note that based on feedback from last year (everyone wants to come back and bring a friend) we expect to double our numbers and our capacity is around 100, so please register early!

Our Youth Mission trips create an environment where the youth of our parish can enrich their relationship with God while developing a community of faith with their peers. This is accomplished through service missions to some of the neediest areas of our country. Past mission trips have included:

  • Mississippi Gulf Coast (Hurricane Katrina)
  • The Appalachia region
  • Monson, MA (June 2011 tornados)
  • NJ (Catholic Heart Workcamps)
  • Brooklyn, NY (Hurricane Sandy)
  • Long Branch, NJ (Hurricane Sandy)
  • Presque Isle, Maine

Generally, there are three annual mission trips planned, each designed to deliver a different mission experience tailored to the needs of different age groups. All three provide opportunities for:

  • Spiritual growth and development
  • Leadership training
  • Increased awareness of those in need
