Youth Missions

SERVICE * SPIRITUALITY * FELLOWSHIP

Our Youth Mission trips create an environment where the youth of our parish can enrich their relationship with God while developing a community of faith with their peers. This is accomplished through service missions to some of the neediest areas of our country. Past mission trips have included:

  • Mississippi Gulf Coast (Hurricane Katrina)
  • The Appalachia region
  • Monson, MA (June 2011 tornados)
  • NJ (Catholic Heart Workcamps)
  • Brooklyn, NY (Hurricane Sandy)
  • Long Branch, NJ (Hurricane Sandy)
  • Presque Isle, Maine

Generally, there are three annual mission trips planned, each designed to deliver a different mission experience tailored to the needs of different age groups. All three provide opportunities for:

  • Spiritual growth and development
  • Leadership training
  • Increased awareness of those in need

LOCAL MISSION - Grade 8 thru 12
HIGH SCHOOL MISSION - Grade 9 thru 12
COLLEGE MISSION - Post Grade 12

HIGH SCHOOL MISSION - Summer 2022
High School Local Mission, for students completing grades 8th through 12th

We are very excited to be offering a Catholic High School Mission Trip experience for the Blessed Trinity Parish community. Prior Mission trips have served those in need in New Orleans (Hurricane Katrina), New Jersey (Hurricane Sandy), and more recently the communities surrounding Presque Isle, Maine. After a few years without a Mission Trip due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to revive this amazing experience within our local communities. Mission Trip begins Tuesday, July 26th from 6-9:30 PM, and continues Wednesday through Friday (July 27-29) from 7:45 AM through 9:30 PM. Saturday July 30th will be our closing celebration from 12 Noon to 5 PM.  Over the past 16 years, hundreds of our teens and adult chaperones have experienced a wonderful week of Faith, Fellowship and Service to those in need. The number of youth who can attend depends on the number of chaperones and coordinators available. Priority registration is June 15th, with rolling (non-guaranteed) admissions up until July 1st so please register early. For more information please see Blessed Trinity Parish Website under: Ministries - Faith Formation - Youth Missions for both the Adult Chaperone Applications and Youth Applications. Youth currently in grades 8 through 12 are invited to participate in this opportunity.  For the first time, we are also welcoming as Adult Chaperones former youth Mission Trip teens who attended past trips.  Please join us!
