STEWARDSHIP OF GENEROSITY (Treasure)

THE SHARING OF OUR MANY GIFTS FROM GOD

Your commitment to be a good steward of the treasure God has bestowed on you – and your generous support of your parish – makes it possible for our parish to do so many good things.

We, in turn, are stewards of your gifts – using them wisely to make it possible for our parish to fulfill its mission; to provide a space for worship and liturgy; to ensure that faith formation programs are available for those seeking spiritual education; to be welcoming and inviting to those seeking a spiritual home; and that we are here for all seeking a relationship with God.

There are many different ways to give to your parish:

Online Giving Program:   Donations and payments made through Online Giving are deposited directly into the parish checking account and the individual contributions are posted directly into our giving software.  Online Giving allows not only for regular, recurring support of the parish, but for one-time contributions to special collections and donations to our outreach programs.  Visit our Online Giving Page to get started,

Envelopes:  You can request offertory envelopes which you will receive in the mail on a bi-monthly basis.  You can place your envelopes in the collection basket at mass or mail them/ drop them off at the Parish Office.  Please email Liz Newton to request envelopes.

Bank Drafts:  You can authorize automatic bank drafts from your own checking account.  Contact your bank for more information on how to set up automatic transfers from your checking account to the parish.

Planning Ahead:  Everyone should have an estate plan which provides direction for what happens upon your incapacitation or death.  Without an estate plan, the state law will decide who gets your assets upon your death and when they will get them.  Estate planning can include a will, a trust, and financial and health care powers of attorney.  To determine what is best for you, you should consult an estate planning attorney.  If you are planning on giving a portion of what you own to a charity, please consider your parish as a part of your estate plan.

There are various 2nd collections throughout the year that are coordinated by the Archdiocese of Boston.  Please click here to see the list of 2nd collections that we support.

As Christian Stewards, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.” - USCCB Bishop’s Letter Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response
